Dream: In this dark tunnel stone tunnel, I walked. At frequent intervals, the walls glowed with light around a certain spot- but there is no light source to be seen. I reached the end of the tunnel, and found myself on the edge of the platform. This place is a room so vast that both the ceiling and ground cannot be seen. On one side of the dimly lit chamber, there is a door with horizontal wooden locks. This door- made of wood and metal, looked so ancient and stretched into infinity like the chamber. Then, a dark creature with black wings and a pale face came to me- dark he may look, he does not show any signs of harm. This creature with his dark companions grabbed us and descended into the dark bottom of the chamber. For how long, I would not know- but it felt like an age. During the descent, intricate patterns and locks flashed by. The bottom of the vault was similarly lit like the tunnels. I look up and I see a wheel with bars sticking out- like those in the bank vaults. Then, the pale faced creature walked towards us and said, ..[blank] door has a key that is kept by the ancient emperors [blank] even they could not open the door [blank].. [dream ends- or at least it could not be remembered]
This is for a sketchbooks assignment at my school where we had to draw a fantasy/dream. This is probably one of my best and deailed photoshop coloured pieceI have done so far +) Thanks meinvaettir for your help ^^
I had a discussion about this with someone and they said the door possibly represents my subconcious or something within me that is still asleep
I'm a big advocate of illustrating dreams. Plus, even though I always hated to hear my work compared to others, it reminds me a lot of Riven.
did you illustrate that with the mouse or a tablet- did you work from a preemptive sketch? How exactly did you go about learning to paint of the computer (if that's not too much to ask)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm featuring a little part of the deviant community ! Asked few days ago, and requested everyone to show me their 3 favourites photos in their own gallery, and the 3 most popular!
So, here is it.
Follow me if you want to be in the next feature, I'll create a new poll for it soon!
